 DRAFT Minutes of the Planning Committee held in the Trust Room on Tuesday 19th April 2011 at 7.30 pm as part of the full council meeting

 

PRESENT: 9 Councillors: Cllr. P.Pudduck (Chairman), Cllr. J. Ferris, Cllr. J. Hacking, Cllr. J. Henshall, Cllr. A. Lovell, Cllr. A. Pithers Cllr. H. Newcombe Cllr. G. Sowerby and Cllr. K. Sowerby. 3 members of the public and Mrs. E Illingworth (Clerk) were also present.

P/045/11 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (5)

 

1.      30/0840/11/F Householder application for extension and alteration to Kingswear Lodge and demolition and reconstruction of boundary wall for Mr C McAlpine at Kingswear Lodge, Beacon Road, Kingswear.                                                                                   OBJECTION (Unanimous)

Reasons:

Overdevelopment on plot, plans would double the size of the building in a Conservation Area.

The garage and re build of the wall providing it was built using the existing stone is supported.

 

2.    30/0763/11/F Variation of condition 2 (accord with plans) to allow amendments (reconfiguration of roof layout and pitch, increase in ridge height, internal modifications, reconfiguration of window layout and window construction, balustrade to external steps) to householder application 30/1602/10/F for Mr A Cole at Eastney, Beacon Road, Kingswear. TQ6 0BS.

                                                                                                   NO OBJECTION (Unanimous)

Conditions:

The existing condition should be applied where the garage and store are for use by Eastney in perpetuity. It is questioned why there is a need for sanitation facilities on site.

 

3.   30/0776/11/F Removal of Condition 11(obscured glazing) of planning permission 30/1176/09/F for resubmission of 30/0412/09/F for amendment to 30/0974/04/F for conversion of workshop building into ancillary accommodation for Mr A Brownsword at the Quay House, Kittery Court, Priory Street, Kingswear. TQ6 0AB.                                                                 OBJECTION (Unanimous)

 

Reasons:

The Parish Council requests that the Enforcement Officer visits the property on the grounds of loss of privacy. The photograph enclosed with papers in the application shows an open window.
