Minutes of the Planning Committee held in the Trust Room on Tuesday 28th August 2007 at 7.30 PM

P/060/07          MINUTES

The minutes of the planning Committee Meeting held on the 24th July 2007 were signed as a correct record with one amendment:-

∙           Also, the Committee wish to add that Mr. Dave Kenyon, representative from SHDC Planning and Building Control, had spoken for about 40 minutes about many aspects of planning process as well as answering a number of questions.

(1)        Regarding the flag pole next to Ship public house: Committee had no view of this. It is up to the individual to follow-up with SHDC.

 

(2)        Letter from Mr & Mrs Higgs re: Brixham Road. Enquiry regarding the cutting (lopping) of trees in Darthaven Marina to improve their view. Action: Chairman to investigate.

P/068/07 CONSERVATION AREA

RE: REASSESSMENT PRIOR TO RATIFICATION BY SHDC.

There was a long discussion about a possible enlargement of a conservation area, to take in other areas and individual properties. We hoped to invite one of the conservation officers down to walk round Kingswear and discuss our observation in greater detail.
