P/019/08 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

(1) Questions were raised about the validity of Planning Permission for the inset balcony on the Carlton House, Higher Street Development for Mr. Philips, as it appeared to have been excluded from recent Planning Permission. It appears that Mr. Phillips is claiming that the balcony falls within ‘permitted development’ and the SHDC Planning Department are not challenging this.

(2) Dr Tulloch announced that he intended to offer his resignation as Chairman of the Planning Committee at the next KPC Meeting on Tuesday 11^th March 2008. He had been in the chair for more than four years, and thought that someone from the ‘new intake’ should now fill the post.

Next Planning Committee Meeting is on 25^thMarch 2008.
