Minutes of the Planning Committee held in the Trust Room on Tuesday 23rd March at 7.30 pm
PRESENT: 5 Councillors: Cllr. P. Pudduck (Chairman), Cllr. J. Ferris, Cllr. J. Henshall, Cllr. A. Lovell and Cllr. H. Newcombe. Two members of the public were present and Mrs E Illingworth (Clerk)
P/019/10 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE (1) Apologies were received from Cllr .A. Pithers and Cllr. G. Sowerby
P/020/10 MINUTES (2) The Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on Tuesday 23rd February were signed as a correct record.
P/021/10 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST (3) There were none.
P/022/10 STATEMENTS/QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC (4) Two members of the public spoke concerning the application for 1 Raddicombe Drive, 30/0266/10/F.
P/023/10 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (5)
1. 30/0266/10/F Erection of 4 new dwellings and associated ground works for Mr M Hatcher at the development site adjacent to 1 Raddicombe Drive, Hillhead, Kingswear OBJECTION (4 Objection, 1 abstention)
Comments: The application is considered to be overdevelopment of the site with traffic safety and parking concerns. The Planning Committee would in principle support an application of 2/3 dwellings with revised parking arrangements for the proposed 3rd dwelling.
2. 30/0426/10/F Householder application for construction of three storey extension infilling existing courtyard area, internal alterations to all floors with new roof conversions to include dormers to front and rear. For Mr B McMaster at Bumblebees, Reservoir, Kingswear. TQ6 0DH. DIFFERED This application has not be advertised by the District so was deferred to the full council meeting on the 13th April 2010.
3. 30/0309/10/F Resubmission of application reference 30/0201/09/F for Replacement windows to front elevation at 2 Coombe View, Lower Contour Road Kingswear. TQ6 0AR for Mr Golledge. NO OBJECTION (Unanimous 5)
4. 30/0292/10/F Householder application for erection of pitched roof alley between house and garage with front door canopy and fascias aboard to garage front for Mr C M Turner at 23 Hillhead Park, Hillhead, Brixham. TQ5 0HG. NO OBJECTION (Unanimous 5)
5. 30/0313/10/LB Listed Building Consent for demolition of existing stone wall and reconstruction in same place and at same height for Mr A Brownsword at Kittery Court, Priory Street, Kingswear. TQ6 0AB. NO OBJECTION (Unanimous 5)
Comments: Wall to be rebuilt immediately with original stone.
6. 30/0315/10/F Erection of a lounge extension on existing balcony for Mr C Wagstaff at Wood Field, Wood Lane, Kingswear. NO OBJECTION (Unanimous 5)
